Brunello di Montalcino DOCG

It is produced in different vineyards with altitudes ranging to 510 metres above sea level.

Vinified in steel tanks for approx. twenty days, it undergoes a maturing period of about 36 months in Slavonian oak barrels of 30 and 20 hl. It rests for a minimum of five months in the bottle before being tasted.

Extending for barely a hectare (2,47 acres), this is the highest of our vineyards at 507 meters above sea level. It was planted in 1988 with old clones of Sangiovese.

This high elevation vineyard is 495 meters above sea level. It is sloping and faces South/South West. Extending just 5.000m2 (1.2 acres), it was planted in 1998 using an old clone of Sangiovese grafted onto indigenous Vitis vinifera sylvestris.

It is the youngest and freshest expression of Sangiovese scents.

Vinified in steel tanks for approx. twenty days, it undergoes a maturing period of approx. one year in French tonneaux of 5 hl and 7 hl and in Slavonian oak barrels of 30 hl.

Villa Le Prata is home to three hundred noble olive trees,
from which it extracts a precious spicy oil every year.
